Building a Strong Tech Team in Healthcare IT
Since the beginning of our collaboration, our client, Vicert, appreciated our proactive suggestions and our ability to deliver quality tech candidates even in a highly challenging market. Discover how we successfully filled several positions.
Understanding Client Needs
Vicert, an IT company specializing in healthcare solutions, was looking to expand its team in Development Center in Belgrade, Serbia by filling both technical and non-technical positions.
The roles included developers, QA engineers, project managers, and account managers.
The biggest challenge was finding senior developers skilled in Go (Golang), particularly within the limited talent pool.
Key Challenges & Opportunities
Initially, our client aimed to recruit only within Serbia, but it quickly became evident that the talent pool for senior Golang developers was limited.
We suggested expanding the search to Bosnia and Croatia, which provided additional options but was still challenging. Golang is a relatively niche technology, and we had to explore innovative strategies to connect with suitable candidates.
Our Approach & Strategy
We approached the challenge with flexibility and creative strategies:
- Broadened our criteria to include candidates with strong development backgrounds in similar technologies who were eager to advance in Golang.
- Expanded the search to neighboring markets like Bosnia and Croatia.
- Implemented a variety of sourcing strategies, including LinkedIn, GitHub, and niche tech communities, as well as leveraging referrals.
Outcomes & Success Metrics
This expanded approach allowed us to create a wider pool of potential hires and bring forward candidates who were ready to adapt and grow with Vicert.
We have hired 13 people for various positions, cementing a strong ongoing partnership that continues to thrive.

Read on how our expertise and a fresh approach can help even in challenging roles, ensuring the right talent matches the AdTech client’s needs.
Understanding Client Needs
Our client, Verve, is an AdTech company headquartered in New York, with operations in Germany and other parts of the world. With a large international workforce, Verve sought our expertise to fill a Senior System Engineer position and, over the past two and a half years, we have hired over 60 people for them.
Key Challenges & Opportunities
When we initially posted the job opening for a Senior System Engineer, many of the applicants lacked the appropriate experience. After analyzing the situation, we advised the client to change the job title to Senior DevOps Engineer, which better aligned with the job requirements. We then realized that the ideal candidates needed stronger backend skills in Java, prompting us to adjust our search to include sourcing for strong backend developers with DevOps skills.
Our Approach & Strategy
We approached the challenge with flexibility:
- Worked closely with Verve to refine the job description and sourcing strategy throughout the process.
- Adjusted the job title to "Senior DevOps Engineer" to attract better-matched applicants.
- Focused on sourcing candidates on LinkedIn who had solid experience in backend development, specifically in Java, combined with relevant DevOps skills.
- Continued to adapt our sourcing strategies based on client feedback to better match the evolving requirements.
Outcomes & Success Metrics
This adjustment helped us attract more suitable candidates, we managed to secure several strong candidates, and Verve successfully hired one of them for the role.
